Soft Rain

Soft Rain

[A] Rain [D] falls, soft [A] rain at my [D] window
Every [A] butterfly has [D] hurried away
All the [A] honey bees have [D] called it a day
And the [A] columbine are [D] bending their heads in the [A] rain.

[A] Rain [D] falls, soft [A] rain making [D] puddles
For the [A] children's feet the [D] puddles are sweet
And the [A] skater bug fleet finds the [D] small pools a treat
And the [A] columbine are [D] bending their heads in the [A] rain.

And the [E] rain is falling there's a quiet hush about the [A] world
And the [E] thunder is calling there's a quiet hush about the [A] world
A [D] time to remember the [A] beautiful things
To [D] look for tomorrow and [A] your fondest dreams.

[A] Rain [D] falls, soft [A] rain at my [D] window
I will [A] go outside where the [D] sleepy rain falls
Feel the [A] wet on my face, feel the [D] wet on my clothes
And like the [A] columbine, I want to [D] bow my head in the [A] rain.
